Hello Guys
I am Balazs from Hungary and I fell in love with american muscle cars since my early childhood.
I started with a 79 2.8l fox body Mustang in 98 when I was young and owned several early and late model Mustangs including 68 and 69 Cougars as well by the years.
I dont have any Mustang right now but who knows what the future will bring.

My favourites are still the 87-93 Foxys.
I am 44 now and collected many parts from the early era Mustangs some of them are really unique.
I love trading parts If you guys dont mind I will post some of those I dont need or would trade for some other parts.
I please do forgive me that I am writing in english I used to learn German lenguage but I forgot a lot.

Welcome.
What's with your 68 and 69 Cougars? Are they still in your possession?

I sold them.
One of the 68 went to Germany.
I loved the 69 the most but that restoration/upgrade went to a bad direction and I sold it also.
The 69 was a factory 351W car with an FMX but it was converted to a 428CJ ram air bigblock beast with a C6.
I already had a 5 speed Keisler tremec ready to put in but that never happened.
I had tons of parts to put in. Big SSBC brakes with Hydratech hydrabooster, total control product steering rack, a built ford 9”, Ridetech suspension etc
I wanted to have a modern handling 428CJ ram air car.
It was a pretty sad story...
If I find out how to insert pics than I will attach some. Of course only if it is allowed to post other cars than Mustangs
Right now I have a pro touring Nova(

) but I still want a 87-93 gt. I had a 87gt before and I loved it.

Hi Balazs,
Welcome to the Forum! The Cougar would have a really cool car with all the planned upgrades.
This forum is focused on the first generation Mustangs, 64-73, but a lot of guys have newer cars, too.
I am also a big foxbody fan, mainly the 87-93. I have a 92 GT Conv. All original, unrestored, factory paint. Second car is a 93 GT Hatch with AOD. Is a swiss eport Version with metric speedo. Good basic condition, but some rust damage, which has to be fixed.
I am planning to put in a 5.8 similar to the 95 Cobra R engine and an IRS suspension from a 03 Cobra. Should be a nice ride on the Autobahn

Hello Andi
Thank you.
Yes, the Cougar was a cool car but I don't look back now. My 72Nova became a very modern car so that is enough now.
I just want a 87-93 GT again because I love that body lines.
You have the bests of the Foxys
One of my friend just installed a 5.8windsor into a '80 2.3 turbo Cobra and he said it was not easy.
Personally I would choose a new 2.3 ecoboost turbo for that project but that is costly.
Your plan is awesome, is it legal to do that kind of mods in Germany?

The cobra suspension should be no problem. I still have to do some research on the 5.8 engine. The problem is to get emission papers, which will be accepted from the german "TÜV" authorities

If that size of engine was not an option at that particular year then the engine swap is not legal to do here in Hungary. Of course many people still do the swaps on the classic cars especially those who have v8 in the car anyway.
