Hi from Geilenkirchen
Good morning to everyone, I'm a new member of this forum and I write from Geilenkirchen.
My Mustang is a 1973 Mach1 Fastback, she worked quite good since yesterday when an oil seal of something similar jumped out so all motor oil dropped out. I heard the changing in noise so I immediately stopped the car before complete break but for sure I have a quite big damage.
Because I'm new in my town (I came from Italy) I don't know any good garage, I wrote in your FB page and I was suggested to try to call Rühl Autoservice and also to write here in search of other suggestions about garage.
It was a very sad day yesterday when I needed to stop the car...

Re: Hi from Geilenkirchen
If you can get your car to Walter Rühl an they have time to look at and repair it: do it! The garage is well known for extraordinary Mustang knowledge an service.

Re: Hi from Geilenkirchen
Hi, thanks for asking.
Unfortunately Rühl declined the work because they only work on 351 Windsor engine and mine is a Cleveland;
And the other guy is full till 2025.
So I’m still looking for a solution.
I’m in contact with The Mustang Garage in Belgium, any of you worked before with them? Just for curiosity because I don’t see any other option at the moment so I think to give them the car.

Good morning,
First of all how should we call you, I can’t see your name in here .
I don’t know how far you would drive but I know a very good garage in my neighborhood. It’s a small garage but with a huge knowledge of Mustang vintage or new ones.
Here is the link in Google maps:

Say that I have forwarded you to them.

Thanks for the suggestion but I was in a hurry so last week I moved the car to MKB Motorenbau in Winnenden

Re: Hi from Geilenkirchen
Hi Leonardo, nice to meet you. Sorry to hear about your accident.
Let's see first how bad it is. If you stopped the engine fast enough maybe only the bearings are damaged and not the whole engine.
From my experience: Agree with the builder that they show you the disassembled engine, the damage and their plan to fix it, including cost. Post the pictures here, we have many experts who can tell you if the statements are legit and what's the best course of action. And no work, especially drilling and honing the block without your okay.
Good luck!
