Mustang World,

In a few days, the Mustang World will begin their pony drive to either Charlotte Motor Speedway or Las Vegas Motor Speedway to be part of one of the largest Mustang events ever-Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration.

This email blast is intended to give the guests attending the Mustang 50th in Charlotte more information so they will be ready to enjoy all of the event and not miss any of the activities planned for the 50th.

To help familiarize the guests to the Charlotte event, we have attached a number of files and links to help guide everyone. The following information will make the event a very smooth process, so please take the time to read thoroughly and make print copies of the maps.

One of the first stops will be to pick up your pre-ordered credentials at the Embassy Suites, the host hotel.
http://www.mustang50thbirthdaycelebrati ... ickup.html
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoHlh7N ... e=youtu.be (Be sure to turn up the volume)

As you turn left to go to Embassy Suites off of Speedway Blvd./Bruton Smith Blvd., be sure to bear left at the roundabout, and park on the right. There is a large parking lot available for guests towing trailers in this lot. (No overnight trailer parking is allowed, only for registration packet pick up.) Please enter the Embassy Suites where you see the large Welcome banner and follow the signage for registration pick up.

Inside you will find the registration area, with an area sectioned off to form lines to pick up your packet. For those guests that have signed up for the M.O.R.E. Parking and for Open Track we have set up a separate packet pickup next the registration packet pick up. We will have volunteer staff help direct guests where to go to pick up their credentials, be sure to ask questions if you are unsure of the process.

At the registration pick up, please review your packet with the volunteer, making sure you have the tickets/passes as ordered. Once you have reviewed the packet, you will go to down the hall about 100 ft. where you will pick up your goodie bag. As you may know, the goodie bag will have one of kind souvenirs of the Mustang 50th. The souvenirs in the goodie bag are only available as part of the goodie bag-not available for individual sale.

We do ask for everyone’s patience, as we all know the process does take time and if there is a problem, we will have the guest service staff handle it quickly. Our goal is to keep the wait time down to a minimum so everyone can go to the track and enjoy. Your help and patience will help make this happen-remember this is a Birthday Celebration.

After finalizing the packet and goodie bag, we ask that you leave the Embassy Suites and head to either the track or hotel or where ever you plan to go, so we can keep the parking lot open for the next guests coming to pick up their credentials.

If you are headed to the track, please view the attach video, as there is only one direct way to CMS from the Embassy Suites. Please follow John Hammons Blvd. to Bruton Smith Blvd., turning left at Bruton Smith Blvd., police will be on hand to help control traffic, as this intersection does not have traffic lights.

If you are headed to CMS, you have one of three locations to go to, if you registered a Mustang-Mustang Parking, M.O.R.E. Lot or Trailer parking. The attached map show the directions for all three areas, with the green direction to the Mustang parking area, the blue line for M.O.R.E. parking and the yellow line for trailer parking. (On Wednesday we are not parking any Mustangs, the trailers can park in the trailer parking area and leave attach or not, but do not remove the Mustang, as we do not have Mustang parking on Wednesday.)
Trailer parking video-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAYwzAI ... e=youtu.be

Parking of the Mustangs will begin a 7AM at CMS. Please be sure to place your static cling decal on the driver inside windshield area, along with your credentials in view for the parking team. Due to the limited space inside CMS, parking inside the track will be limited to 700-1000 Mustangs. Parking inside the track is first come, first parked. No exceptions, please don’t ask. We review a number of different ways on how to handle the inside parking, and the first come first parked process was the only way fair to everyone. If parking inside the track is important to you, please get in line early. (No Mustangs can get in line before 6AM.) The Mustangs parked inside the track must remained parked inside the track until 5PM, although you can leave the Mustang overnight, you will lose your parking spot.

The Mustang parking areas in the Green Field and M.O.R.E. lots do allow you to come and go as needed. Just be sure to have you window decal and credentials visible when you return.

Trailered Mustangs cannot have the trailer brought into the Charlotte Motor Speedway to unload. Due to the limited space available inside the track, and the goal of parking the Mustangs efficiently as possible we are unable to allow trailers into the track. Mustangs that are trailered can certainly join the line to be parked inside the track, if room is available. If the trailered Mustang is not able to go into the track, it can be parked in the Green Field, the lot next to the trailer parking.

The guests have two entrances into CMS, Gate 1 for the M.O.R.E. guests and the public and Gate 26 on the backside of the track, next to the Green Field. As you enter the track, please be sure to have your credentials visible for the volunteers to process. If you do not have your credential, you will have to go get it or purchase a daily pass to enter CMS. Please don’t forget your credentials or ticket(s).
Due to track rules, no coolers or drinks can be brought inside the track-sorry. (Remember, no coolers INSIDE the track.)

Once inside the track you will find a lot of activity taking place, with one first major event on Thursday-Opening Ceremonies at 11AM. We guarantee this is not going to be the typical Opening Ceremonies, as we have a number of major surprises planned, so be sure to head over to Pit Row by 11AM and not miss anything-bring your cameras too!

At the conclusion of opening ceremonies, the guests will need to leave the Pit area, as Open Track will start back up.

On Sunday, the final day of the Mustang 50th, the inside track opens for all Mustangs to park inside and at 10AM will have a hover camera take a picture of the entire infield filled with Mustangs-please be sure to be next your Mustang for the photo!

Once the photo is taken, parade laps begin, as we will ask the guests to go to the MCA tent to pick up a ticket-on Sunday only. (We cannot give out the tickets earlier.) The parade laps will run in groups of 60, staging at the Nationwide Garage. All guests attending the parade laps will need to sign the track waiver, as will the other car occupants. (Anyone under 18 years of age must have their parents or guardians sign for them-both parents/guardians-no exceptions.)
We will announce which Mustang group needs to head to the Nationwide Garage to be staged for the parade lap-please do not show up early, as we will turn the Mustang away as we need to keep the Nationwide Garage clear for the next parade group.

Now go enjoy the Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration, review the schedule activities, as we have packed the event with everything Mustang!
