Hallo,
muss nun doch mal nach ca. 80000km die Tachowelle tauschen. Sie springt oft und macht hinter dem Tacho schabende rhythmische Geräusche.
Ich habe schon länger eine Tachowelle von Scott-Drake im Keller liegen. Jetzt habe ich sie mal ausgepackt und die Seele herausgezogen.
Die neue Tachowelle ist eingefettet.
Soll das so, oder besser sauber machen und nur mit Grafit-Pulver schmieren?

Die besten Ergenisse gibt es hier. Habe so die Tachowellen geschmiert, wie mal im Mustang Monthly beschrieben wurde.
ich kann nur sagen, die Dinger laufen dann 1A, und nix Grafit-Pulver, meine Meinung und Erfahrung.
When you install a new speedometer cable or service an old one,
generously lubricate the cable with a mixture of transmission fluid and lightweight lithium grease.
Mix up a modest wad of lithium grease and transmission fluid in the palm of your hand and run the cable through it.
You can also use speedometer cable lubricant for this purpose.
Run the cable back and forth until saturated with lube. Then, slip it into the cable sheath.
It will serve you well for thousands of miles and many years.
